Paul Meli – President and Founder of ABC
Paul Meli has over 30 years of experience within the healthcare insurance arena and his expertise is supported by various sales and client management positions. Prior to the inception of PMI Enterprises, INC (PMI), Meli worked directly for leading insurance carriers where he was responsible for health insurance sales, marketing and product development.
Paul opened PMI in 1989 and the firm’s quick growth and success led to the expansion of its sister organization American Business Consulting Group, LLC, an administrative services organization providing payroll, insurance, benefit packages and other human resource services.
Decades of industry experience along with Paul’s network abilities have helped both PMI and ABC find the right opportunities. Delivering on his promises to his clients and a proven track record of unsurpassed customer satisfaction has resulted in rapid growth of both firms. Paul has successfully integrated the services of PMI and ABC so seamlessly, that both companies are now solely referred to as American Business Consulting Group, LLC.
He serves on the board of the Detroit Business Advisory Council and is an active member of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Paul received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Michigan State University.
Ashley Kenaan – Service Account & Implementation Director
Ashley Kenaan works hand in hand with clients to guide them through the insurance process. She works hard to assist every client with any questions or concerns that may arise with their insurance needs. She is well educated in the rules and regulations involving all forms of enrollments and terminations and manages our Associates to ensure the process is handled correctly and in a timely fashion. Ashley is fluent in the Zywave and Employee Navigator programs that we regularly use to aid in renewals, enrollments, and ACA compliance.
Ashley graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. She has been a member of our team since 2013 and continues to grow each day in the understanding of each individual client’s personal needs and their goals.
Aimee Herty – Executive Account Manager
Aimee Herty has a passion for making connections with current and potential clients. She divides her time between designing materials for ABC, anticipating the informational needs of our clients and putting together client specific 9 packages. Aimee is a versatile employee and makes herself available to other areas of our business when an extra pair of hands or brainpower is needed.
Patricia Rodriguez-Haugh, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP – Human Resources Director
Patricia joined us with a passion and knowledge of Human Resources to bring another dimension to our service model. Patricia provides extensive knowledge to our clients in the areas of strategic resourcing, stream-lining HR processes, compliance, workers compensation, unemployment management along with many other HR functions.
Patricia earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Michigan State University, continued to earn her master’s degree in Business Administration from Wayne State and finally, earned her Professional in Human Resources Certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute and SHRM.
Nicole DiMaggio – Enrollment Specialist & HR Administrator
Nicole has joined us with a great interest and passion in Human Resources. She currently helps all of our clients and employees enroll in benefits. She is currently learning and gaining experience in the HR field and all that it requires.
Nicole is currently enrolled in school and working on obtaining her bachelor’s in human resource management.
Mary Phelan – Enrollment Specialist
Mary has enthusiastically joined us to make sure that all enrollments, terminations and COBRA is processed and completed accurately. She ensures that the groups eligibility is maintained on a day-to-day basis.
Nancy Lentine – Consultant – Account Servicing and HR
Nancy Lentine has over 20 years in the employee benefits and human resources industry. She has divided her time between the agent and employer side of the business. Nancy lends her expertise when groups are in need of in-house servicing. we have utilized Nancy’s services to help guide our clients through difficult periods of growth, shorthandedness, systems overhauls and general needs. Ms. Lentine also has extensive knowledge of Medicare rules and regulations and offers guidance on such matters.
Nancy held a number of management positions within both corporate and manufacturing environments where she was responsible for all areas of human resource needs and organizational development initiatives.
Nancy received her bachelor’s degree in business management from Central Michigan University and received her professional accreditation as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Society for Human Resources Management.
Damian Kassab – Legal Counsel
Graduate of University of Colorado, School of Law, Damian Kassab gained extensive experience in Mergers & Acquisitions as an attorney working for IBM. After leaving IBM, Kassab formed a boutique investment bank with former Governor of the Federal Reserve, Martha R. Seger. As principal of the firm, Damian oversaw the management of nearly
$300M in assets before leaving to start a successful telecommunications company and $700M commercial bank. Kassab also gained experience in politics and government when he served as Chairman of the Michigan Gaming Control Board which regulates Michigan’s multi-billion-dollar gaming industry, as well as running a successful campaign for Mark
Hackel, County Executive, as campaign manager.
Damian divides his time between numerous endeavors including serving as advisor to ABC in employment, labor and other general legal matters.
